RCCR is a HUD approved Housing Counseling agency. Our Home Ownership Program was developed to encourage and support affordable, safe, and well maintained home ownership. RCCR opened our Huntington Home Ownership office in March 2024. Services
MISSION
RCCR develops projects and programs which help renew our community by identifying, addressing, and overcoming obstacles which keep people from decent, affordable housing.
PRE-PURCHASE HOUSING COUNSELING
Working with our HUD certified housing counselor, each family or individual is able to resolve their unique issues and make home ownership a reality. Provides private counseling with individuals or families to resolve issues that may be obstacles to homeownership. Includes:

Foreclosure Prevention Counseling
RCCR's HUD certified Housing Counselors are trained to assist you in foreclosure prevention. We assist homeowners who are at risk of foreclosure and otherwise struggling with their monthly mortgage payments.
HOMEBUYER EDUCATION WORKSHOPS
Purchasing your first home can be overwhelming. We are here to help you navigate through this exciting, but complicated, process. RCCR’s homebuyer Education workshops help you prepare for a successful homebuying experience.

RCCR hosted a Housing Fair at Marshall Health Network Arena on Saturday, June 29th 10am - 3pm. While this event has passed, we will host another on in 2025 to provide a day filled with information and resources on housing options in the Huntington area. Whether you're a first-time buyer, renter, or current homeowner, this event is perfect for you. Meet with housing related agencies, real estate agents, banks, insurance agents, attorneys, and more to get all your housing questions answered. Don't miss out on this opportunity to learn about programs and resources that can help you achieve and maintain homeownership. The goal of the Housing Fair is to increase the awareness of housing programs and services to help foster the creation of generational wealth through homeownership. HOUSING DEVELOPMENT
RCCR builds and renovates homes that are sold to first time homebuyers who are mortgage qualified and who are at 80% or below the area median income. RCCR started constructing in 2001 by rehabbing 8 condos on Charleston's East End. Since that time RCCR has constructed over 50 affordable single family homes in Kanawha and Putnam Counties. These homes were built in partnership with the city of Charleston Mayor's Office of Economic and Community Development (MOECD), West Virginia Housing Development Fund, Empire Development Corporation, Charleston Property Restoration, and Git R Done, LLC.
In the summer of 2024, RCCR will be starting with single family home development in Huntington.
