RCCR is a HUD approved Housing Counseling agency. Our Home Ownership Program was developed to encourage and support affordable, safe, and well maintained home ownership. Our target population are clients living in Cabell, Putnam, and Wayne counties who are at 80% or below the area median income.

PRE-PURCHASE HOUSING COUNSELING

Working with our HUD certified housing counselor, each family or individual is able to resolve their unique issues and make home ownership a reality. Provides private counseling with individuals or families to resolve issues that may be obstacles to homeownership. Includes:

Reviewing credit report
Work plan to resolve credit issues
Mortgage assistance programs
and more!

HOMEBUYER EDUCATION WORKSHOPS

Purchasing your first home can be overwhelming. We are here to help you navigate through this exciting, but complicated, process. RCCR’s homebuyer Education workshops help you prepare for a successful homebuying experience.

HOUSING DEVELOPMENT

RCCR builds and renovates homes that are sold to first time homebuyers who are mortgage qualified and who are at 80% or below the area median income. RCCR will be constructing single family homes in Huntington in the Spring of 2025. RCCR got started constructing in 2001 by rehabbing 8 condos on Charleston's East End. Since that time RCCR has constructed over 55 affordable single-family homes in Kanawha and Putnam Counties. These homes were built in partnership with the city of Charleston Mayor's Office of Economic and Community Development (MOECD), West Virginia Housing Development Fund, Empire Development Corporation, Q Contracting,Faith Construction,and Git R Done, LLC.
